Fineline Receives Minority Status in Wisconsin and New York:
Indianapolis printing company extends its opportunities across state lines
INDIANAPOLIS, IN, March 1, 2010 --- Fineline Printing Group has been certified with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) status with the State of Indiana since 2000, but has just recently become certified with the state of Wisconsin and the New York Minority Supplier Diversity Council. Minority Business Enterprises are defined as organizations with at least 51% ownership in the hands of an individual of minority status.
The Wisconsin Department of Commerce Bureau of Minority Business Development authorized Fineline's MBE status, which will allow Fineline to bid on state procurement jobs with the state of Wisconsin as a minority owned business enterprise. This certification is valid for approximately two years, when Fineline will be eligible for re-certification.
The New York and New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council is a part of the National Minority Supplier Development Council responsible for certifying organizations with minority status which provides assurance to any business wishing to work with a minority supplier. The certification is valid for approximately one year, when Fineline will be eligible for re-certification.
Richard Miller, Owner and President of Fineline, was born in Argentina and came to the United States as a young teen. An example of the American Dream, he built his business from the ground up and is currently the owner of one of the leading commercial lithographic printers in Indianapolis. Miller also serves on the board of directors for the Indianapolis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
"Obtaining minority status with the State of Indiana has opened up some great doors of new business for Fineline, so we are looking forward to capitalizing on these new avenues of opportunity," says Lisa Young, Vice President of Operations.
