Fineline Joins Other MBE Organizations in SixSigma Workshop

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, July 21, 2009 --- When the economy gets tough, Fineline Printing Group looks to get not only tougher, but leaner. In July, North American Purchasing put on a six day Lean Six Sigma training workshop at the Honda of America Manufacturing office in Ohio. The workshop specialized in providing information on how to compete with other businesses during challenging economic times. The workshop aimed at helping companies cut costs by cutting excess processes, waste, and lost time.

Fineline Printing Group, an MBE certified organization, took an interest by sending two representatives: Vice President of Operations Lisa Young and Vice President of Development Paul Doerfler. They joined several other companies by earning the green belt in Six Sigma. "We knew that it would be a beneficial workshop to attend, especially since other companies have been able to improve customer service and improve our sustainable advantage, both of which Fineline is always looking to do," says Young.
